Patricia L. Balmer

Patricia L. Balmer, 78, previously of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, June 21, 2021. Pat was an avid bowler and loved to do puzzles. She worked at Samtec, G.E., and the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant for many years. She then went on to work for the New Albany/Floyd County Schools as a special needs bus aide with her husband, Marshall.

She was born on December 30, 1942, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to the late Edward and Beatrice (Roach) Panther. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Martin Goodier; and siblings, Margaret, Nelda, Edward, and Donna.

Pat is survived by her loving husband of nearly 51 years, Marshall Balmer; daughters, Marcia (Otis) Coyle and Becky (Jerry) Elkin; son, Ronald Balmer; daughter-in-law, Michelle Goodier; grandchildren, Amanda Adams, Cameron Coyle, Michael Coyle, William Coyle, Jason (Bethany) Elkin, Adam (Christine) Elkin, Matthew Balmer, Daniel (Laurie) Balmer, Gabriel Balmer, Jessica Goodier, and Nicole Goodier; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Atkins Chapel Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.
