Parsla Eiche Dalins, 97, peacefully passed away on November 12, 2024, at Nazareth Home-Clifton. Parsla was born on July 14, 1927 in Riga, Latvia to Roberts and Eugenia Zintnieks. She immigrated to the United States in 1949 with her husband and extended family.
Parsla was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an avid reader of both books and newspapers and enjoyed classical music, opera and Neil Diamond. Water skiing at Nolin Lake and spending time by the ocean were her happiest days. Parsla loved all creatures great and small. She took joy in feeding the birds and loved all her many cats. She was proud of her Latvian roots where she was raised in the Lutheran Church. Most of all, she loved her family and was a true-blue fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.
While in Louisville, Parsla worked for General Electric and then as the office manager for the Ben R. Edelen Tax and Bookkeeping Service. After moving to Huntsville, Alabama, where she lived for 40 years, she worked as the bookkeeper for the Huntsville Boys and Girls Club until retirement.
Parsla was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Laima Johnson, husband, Valentine (Tony) Eiche and husband, Dr. Ilmars Dalins.
Parsla leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, John Zintnieks (Sandra) of Plymouth, MN, two sons, Peter Eiche (Susan), Edward Eiche (Theresa), grandchildren, Jason Eiche (Molly), Jennifer Moore (Brian), Nikolas Eiche, Benjamin Eiche, five great grandchildren, Luke, Lilly & Lola Eiche, and Hayden & Maddox Moore, her niece Romi Hancock (Viktor) and several great nieces and nephews.
