Parker Benjamin Wooden, 22, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020. Parker was a member of Southeast Christian Church where he was involved with the College Age Ministry. To know Parker was to know a follower of Jesus. He loved all things UofL, traveling, flying his drone, and interning with Sky Boat as a sportscaster. Parker also worked at Blue River Services as a program assistant. Parker's adventurous and fun-loving personality drew you in instantly. He was always ready to make a friend of a stranger, and he made sure to make time for everyone he knew. Parker left an impact on many of the lives he touched. To know him was to know a genuine friend.
He was born on March 9, 1998, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Julie (Burshears) Kinkle and the late Mark Wooden.
Along with his mother, Parker is survived by his sister, Morgan Wooden; brother, Bradyn Gundle; and many extended family members, friends, and co-workers.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany, (3309 Ballard Lane). Visitation will continue on Friday, November 6, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Southeast Christian Church - Indiana Campus. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church with cremation to follow.
