Pamela Rae Carter

August 1, 1949 — January 2, 2017

Pamela R. Carter, 67, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, died Monday, January 2, 2017, at her son's residence in Westminster and is now at peace with her husband. Born August 1, 1949, in Canton, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Joan E. Purdy and Robert F. Jones. She was the wife of the late James "Jimmy" Carter.

She retired as a public school counselor. She loved pets and was known as the "Crazy Cat Lady." She was a proud 35-year member of A.A.
She is survived by son, Isaac Fulkerson and wife Emily of Westminster; a sister, Deborah Green; grandchildren, Eden, Lucas, Caoilfhinn, and Brendan; a great-grandson, Aeos; and niece, Kate. She was predeceased by a grandson, Chase Lowe.

A Celebration of Life Service for Pamela Carter will be held Saturday, January 14, at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protection Association (702 East 11th Street, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130).
