Owen Harold Wilson, 77, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018. He loved fishing, the outdoors, being an auctioneer, woodworking, and being with family.

He was born on March 3, 1941, in Westport, Kentucky, to the late Howard Wilson and Elizabeth (Cornell) Kemper. Along with his parents, Owen was preceded in death by his stepfather, Joseph Kemper; sons, Joey Wilson and James Hazelwood; grandson, Clayton Heeke; and brother, James Wilson.

Owen is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Wilma J. (Reed) Wilson; children, Alvina Reisert (Eddie), Owen Wilson, Elva Lewis (Steve), and Beverly Heeke (Anthony); sister, Ruby Tate; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge in Jeffersonville.

The family requests that contributions in Owen's memory be made to the American Lung Association (55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, Illinois 60601).
