Ottie M Wolfe

November 18, 1927 — March 18, 2021

On Thursday, March 18, "Boots" Wolfe, 93, loving mother of four children passed away at Westport Place. She was born in Macon, Georgia on November 18, 1927 to Mary Ella and William Frank Kelley. She graduated from Louisville Girls High School in 1945. On April 10, 1948 she married Frank Wolfe. She was a long time employee of Taylor Drugs in St. Matthews. She was past president of the Kentucky Amvets Ladies Auxiliary. She dedicated many volunteer hours at VA Hospital where she touched the lives of many injured veterans. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Frank, her sister, Lonie Snellen and brother, Frank Kelley, and special friend, Richard Echsner.

Boots is survived by her children, Sheila Reiss (Don), Pat Laemmle (Jim) , Steve Wolfe and Joe Wolfe(Elizabeth); 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Special thanks to all the dedicated staff at Westport Place where she received such loving care for three and a half years.

Visitation will be 10 to 11am on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Church of the Ascension, 4600 Lynnbrook Dr, Louisville, KY 40220, with a Mass of Celebration to follow at 11am. Burial is scheduled following Mass for 1pm on Friday at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205, to meet at the front gate.

Memorials may be made to the Mass of the Air.
