Otelda Embry

Otelda "Till" Embry, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

She was born on February 13, 1934 in Flatwood, Kentucky to the late Thurston and Lizzie (Phelps) Lee. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raburn Embry, her siblings, SJ Lee, Brenda Studer, Joyce Felty, Siblings in-law, Aleta Coots, Odell Embry, James Studer, Gaye Lee and Ralph Taurman.

Till was a loving a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A caregiver in nature, she was always thinking and taking care of others. Till's world revolved around her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Till is survived by her loving family; son, Barry (Julie) Embry, daughter, Alesia (Darrell) Mudd, 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, sisters, Gwen Embry and Regina Taurman, sister in-law, Lorene Embry, brother in-law, Oulbert Embry and several nieces and nephews that will miss her very much.

The first visitation will take place from 10:00am to 12:00pm EST on Friday, April 26th at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy). There will be a service honoring Till's life immediately following the visitation at 12:00pm. The family will also have a visitation from 2:00pm to 4:00pm CST at Flatwood Church of Christ (Morgantown, KY). After the visitation, Till will be laid to rest in Flatwood Cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Till memory be made to the Flatwood Cemetery.
