Oscar William Seewer

July 2, 1939 — January 3, 2019

Oscar William Seewer, 79, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28 in New Albany. Oscar loved the outdoors, especially farming and raising peaches and apples.

He was born on July 2, 1939, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, to the late Alfred, Sr., and Lena (Ullmann) Seewer. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Albert, Edwin, Alvin, Arnold, Harry, and Julius Seewer.

Oscar is survived by his brothers, Herman Seewer (Jeanette) and Alfred Seewer (Mickie); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Atkins Chapel in Floyds Knobs.
