Opal Mae Miller, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on May 8, 2017. She retired from National City Bank. She was a member of the VFW post #2921 and of the Hiawatha Missionary Baptist Church. Opal was also a hairdresser.

Opal was born on April 1, 1936 to the late Dora and Alma Priddy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Miller; several brothers and one sister.

Opal is survived by her daughters: Donna Hardesty (Benny), Susan Summitt (Stephen), and Carolyn Moore (Joe); grandchildren: Ashley Jones (Jesi), Benjamin Hardesty, Amanda Summitt, Courtney Summitt, Abby Moore, and Andrew Moore; great-grandchildren: Rowan Jones, Brooklyn Jones and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel 10304 Dixie Highway 40272. Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Friday at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Upton Cemetery in Upton, KY. There will be a visitation on Friday before the service from 10:00-11:00am.
