Opal Aline Sanders

October 28, 1936 — March 2, 2016

Opal Aline Sanders, 79, of Louisville, passed away on March 2, 2016. Opal was born in Louisville on October 28, 1936, to the late Eurastus and Lela Keeling. She worked at Prescal Paper Company in her younger years before becoming a Certified Medical Technician and working at Georgetown Manor Nursing Home until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Janet Sanders. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Earl S. Sanders; children, Brenda Ford (Paul), Sharon Moore (Kenny), Tony Sanders (Theresa), and Kenny Sanders (Jackie); 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). Funeral ceremony will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery.
