Ollie Eugene Davis, 44, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Ollie was an alumnus of The Healing Place.
Ollie was born on April 17, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin Luke, Grandparents, Marge and Raymond Albert, Jo and Bosco Preston.
Ollie is survived by his mother, Raynena Davis, sisters, Melissa Davis (Keith), Rachel Dressing (Forest), Jodi Richey (Kenneth), grandmother, Rosetta Bitker, nieces and nephews; Seana, Isac, Luke, Trey, Raelynn and Mya.
Ollie was loved by a slew of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Ollie was more than a son, grandson, cousin, uncle, friend, lover, addict….. He was a human being with deep spirituality; always thinking deeply---a real philosopher. He liked to "keep it real"; sometimes uncomfortably too real! His smile, laugh, and sense of humor, was delightfully infectious. He looked past people's flaws to see shared, common human conditions. This allowed him to love both friend and foe. He loved everyone immensely, and was loved immensely by everyone. Please don't remember him as a statistic of addiction, but as the human being he was.
Services are private due to Covid-19 restrictions. There will be a public service at a later date that everyone who knew Ollie could attend.
The family asks that donations in Ollie's memory be made to The Healing Place.
