Officer Harold Ray Carnes, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021.
He was born on January 22, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Harold started his corrections profession in August in 2002. He became a graduate of Metro Corrections Academy Class 78. He received letter of commendation for serving with integrity and for his role in the Inmate Behavior Management Program. He also received and Award of Valor for rendering aid to a Louisville Metro Police Department Officer during a shooting. Harold was also a firefighter with Black Mudd, Fern Creek, Dixie Suburban and Lake Dreamland for the Jefferson County Fire Service.
He is survived by a host of family and friends.
Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
