Ofelia V. Sanchez, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
She was born on November 17, 1928 in Vueltas, Cuba to Anselmo Gonzalez and Angelica Hernandez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adelaido Hernandez, 3 brothers, Nelido Gonzalez, Tomas P. Gonzalez & Jose M. Gonzalez.
She is survived by her son, Juan J. (Thelma) Hernandez, daughter, Maria H. (Tony) Ray, Step-Son, Victor R. Hernandez, 3 grandchildren, Lori J. Hernandez, Patrick A. Ray, Megan E. Ray, Great-Grandson, Austin L. Jaggers, Brother, Hector Gonzalez. She will be greatly missed by her family in Kentucky, Florida & Cuba.
Private family services will take place at a later date. At her request, cremation will take place and her cremated remains will be taken to her hometown in Cuba.
The family requests that contributions in Ofelia's memory be made to Hosparus.
