Norvin "Ronnie" Smith

Norvin "Ronnie" Smith, 76, of Memphis, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2015. He served in the United States National Guard. Ronnie enjoyed fishing as well as woodworking.
He was born on February 14, 1939 in Clarksville, Indiana to the late Mervin B. and Edna L. (Quibberman) Smith. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Buddy Smith and Donna Todd.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy (Sadler) Smith; children, Louis B. Smith (Penny), Geanie Kaye Smith, Karen Mabe (Kevin), Amy Lea Stuart; brother, Boyd Smith (Diana); grandchildren, Phillip Smith (Danielle), Bernice Smith, Norma Pinkerton (Alex), Matthew Wagner, Meagan Marie Wagner (Nich), Adam Mabe (Brooke), Matthew Mabe, Isaac Stuart, Jonathan Stuart; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 PM to 3 PM on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a Memorial Service taking place at 3 PM. Cremation was chosen according to Ronnie's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in his memory be made to Kosair Children's Hospital (Dept. 86140, PO Box 950183, Louisville, KY 40295).
