Norman W. Wemes

Norman W. Wemes, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 13, 2025. 

He was born in Louisville on July 23, 1942. Norman was a graduate of Eastern High School, where we played football. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army. Norman was a long standing member and volunteer at VFW Post 1170 in Middletown, and a past president and member of the Night Hawgs Motorcycle Club. He worked as an engineer with L&N followed by CSX, starting when he was 21 years old. He retired from the railroad in 1999. 

Norman is survived by his wife, Nancy Prince; daughters, Linde Nelson and Michelle Wemes;  brothers, Frank Lehman and Michael Lehman;  grandchildren, Kelsy Harmon, Andria Blohm, Dakota Nelson, Christine Louden, and Brandon Burch; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. 

Norman's life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at VFW Post 1170 in Middletown ( 107 Evergreen Rd
Louisville, KY 40243). 
 In lieu of flowers, donations in Norman's memory can be made to VFW Post 1170.
