Norman E. Stoops, 68, of Smithfield, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019.
He was born on July 20, 1950 in Sewickley, Pennsylvania to Norman Stoops, Sr. and Lucille Brankovich. He honorably served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He retired as Chief Mechanical Inspector for Louisville Metro Government.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Donna M. Stoops, mother, Lucille Allen, son, Paul Michael (Melissa) Stoops, daughter, Danielle R. (Jeff) Anderson, 4 grandchildren, Lance Michael (Autumn) Stoops, Loren J. Stoops, Abbigail N. (Brooke) Patterson, Jeffery T. Anderson, Jr., 2 great grandchildren, Grayson Michael Stoops, Braelyn Baskett, 5 brother-in-laws, Jack M. (Bette Jo) Endler, Raymond T. (Donna) Endler, Kenneth L. Endler, Jason (Alyssa) Reed, Robert L. Reed, 5 sister-in-laws, Deborah A. Endler, Cindy Schuler, Kimberly J. (Don) Rigazio, Rhonda Endler, Theresa Endler, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, brother, Gary E. Stoops, brother, Dwayne B. Gallentine, brother-in-law, Frank E. Endler.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
