Norma Jean Snellen

August 7, 1935 — September 21, 2017

Norma Jean Snellen, 82, passed away on September 21, 2017. She loved traveling and camping in her RV with her husband, Robert. She also enjoyed going to Bluegrass Festivals. Norma was a wonderful mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Snellen; grandson, Michael Doerr, Jr.; parents, Gilbert and Gladys Ray and brothers, James and Larry Ray.

Norma is survived by her children, Gary (Molly) Borneman, Brian (Lori) Borneman and Lisa Doerr; grandchildren, Sarah (Billy), Shroyer, Brittany (Lloyd) Reasor, Kyle (Nichol) Borneman, Ashley (Nathan) Distler, Bradley (Jennifer) Borneman, Megan (Lee) Distler and Eric Borneman; great-grandchildren, Brittnee, Chasitee, Jenna, Mitchell, Paislee, Vivian, Luke, Cora, Mira, Mia, Ella and Isabelle; sister-in-law, Kathy Ray and family friend, Michelle Humes.

Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2017, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 10am-2pm with a celebration of Norma's life beginning at 2pm.

Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
