Norma Parsons

Norma Parsons, 89, of Louisville, passed away on March 9, 2016. Norma was born in Louisville on May 21, 1926, to the late William and Carrie (Allen) Deerr. She retired from Bank of Louisville and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Parsons and three siblings, Mary Stephens, Fred Deerr, and Dorothy Caster.

Norma is survived by five children, Stephen Parsons (Rita), Cheryl Carroll (Steve), Theresa Hall (Wayne), David Parsons (Lisa), and Donna Trusty (Chris); nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul "Tuck" Deerr (Ann).

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, March 11, 2016 and continue on Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (5431 Johnsontown Rd, Louisville, KY 40258) with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.
