Norma Mae (Pittman) Court, 97, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Norma enjoyed quilting, sewing, as well as pottery and reading. She loved her family and especially adored her great-grandchildren.
She was born on November 13, 1918 in Denver, Colorado to the late Chessley, Sr. and Lillie (Stone) Pittman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Court; and brother and sister-in-law, Chess, Jr. and Elizabeth Pittman.
Norma is survived by her children, Jerry Court (Donna), Sherri Deatrick (Ronald), Barbara Howell; grandchildren, Jennifer Court, Michael Court (Christa), Heidi Barrett (Brett), Heather Gerlach (Scott), Stacy Clark (Doug), William Grider (Jen), Benjamin Grider (Erin); great-grandchildren, Samantha Court, Blake, Tyler, Hailey, Sadie Barrett, Isabella, Bryce, Owen Gerlach, Alex Kosanke, Joseph Mizell, William, Ashley, Hannah, Ozzie Grider, Kaleb Nemeier, Marcus, Connor Grider, Alexis Clark; and great-great-grandchild, Kalistia Kosanke.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Contributions in Norma's memory may be made to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150).
