Norma Crenshaw Ralston

Norma Jean Crenshaw Ralston, 90, of Louisville, passed peacefully with her children by her side on April 9, 2020.

Jean was born on September 9, 1929 in Bullitt County, to the late R.H. Crenshaw and Virginia Beatrice Cook Crenshaw, and spent most of her life in Louisville. She retired from the University of Louisville Psychology Department, where she worked for 20 years. Jean was a member of South Louisville Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, and spent her retirement years researching the family geneaology.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Ralston, and her sister, Lois Sparks. She is survived by her children, Diane (Randy) Gnau, Versailles, KY and Dale (Pat) Ralston, Louisville, KY; four grandchildren Shannon (Cam) Kenimer, Paris, KY; Bryan (Sarah) Gnau, Lexington, KY, Haylee Ralston, Louisville, KY, and Kendra Ralston, New York City, NY; and great grandchildren Kelby and Jayse Kenimer, Mia and Gwen Gnau, and Calvin Hill.

A private graveside service and burial will be at Cave Hill Cemetery. A celebration of Jean's life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
