Norma J. "Granny" Edmonson passed away on December 14, 2015. She was known as Jeannie Raintree, a local entertainer for many years. Norma was smart, loving, talented, and determined to make everyone feel loved. Her love of children included fostering infants til they were placed with loving parents for many years. She dearly loved her pets who gave her great comfort. She will be missed deeply by her family, friends and pets.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Nunn and brother, Robert Shofner.
Norma is survived by her husband of 30 years, Marvin "Ed" Edmonson; children, Robbie Michael) Harmon, Robert (Rose Anne) Harrell, Dacia Snelling and John (Judy)Harrell; step-children, Terri (Michael) Scott, Joani (Alberto) Vera and Charles Edmonson; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and sister, Dorothy (James) Norris.
Visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2015, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Norma's life will be Saturday, December 19, 2015, beginning at 10am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home SW
Entombment will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens - West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Lousiville, KY.
