Norma Hardin was a beloved great-grandmother, grandmother, mother, wife and friend during her incredible 97 years of life. She passed away on the evening of Thursday, October 28, 2025, which would have been her late husband Gene’s birthday. There must have been a glorious birthday/welcome celebration in Heaven as she rejoined her loved ones who preceded her.
Norma was born in Madison, Indiana on June 22, 1928. After graduating from Jeffersonville High School, she met the love of her life following his return from World War II. She married Raymond Eugene “Gene” Hardin on June 6, 1948. They raised two sons, who eventually married and had their own children. Norma received so much joy from her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a good friend to many and touched many more in her career as a bank teller and a Mary Kay representative.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lucille and Harry Hendricks; her brother, Forrest Cobb; husband, Gene Hardin; and son, Steven Hardin.
Norma is survived by son, Glenn Hardin (Paula); grandsons, Chris Hardin (Crystal) and Kelly Hardin (Sadye); Steven’s wife Kim Hardin; granddaughters Camden and Emily Hardin; great grandchildren, Brecken, Caroline and Rhett; as well as, several nieces and nephews.
