Norma Jean "Babe" Blankenship, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. She was a retired barber and former owner of the Elite Barber Shop in Greenville, Illinois.

She was born on January 1, 1936, in East Saint Louis, Illinois, to the late Milton and Norma Hanser of Grantfork, Illinois. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Reginald "Sam" Blankenship; and her sister, Judith Landolt.

Norma is survived by her two sons, Gary (Karen) Woodson of Eustis, Florida, and David (Teresa) Woodson of Sellersburg, Indiana; grandsons, Erik (Melissa) Woodson, Matthew (Mackenzie) Woodson, and Daniel Woodson; great-granddaughters, Mary Margaret Woodson and Anna Kate Woodson.

A family memorial and interment will be held at a later date in Grantfork, Illinois.
