Nona Kay (Bentley) Haendiges

Nona Kay (Bentley) Haendiges, 81, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022. Nona was known as a sassy, "tell-it-like-it-is" kind of woman who enjoyed selling items on eBay, watching the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, fishing, and completing puzzles and enjoyed the company of her beloved dogs. In her younger years, Nona was skilled at playing the piano and sewing many garments for her family members. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was born on January 13, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Willis and Marion (Wagner) Bentley. Along with her parents, Nona is preceded in death by her son, Michael Baugh; and sister, Joyce Jellison.

Nona is survived by her loving husband, John Haendiges; daughter, Julie (Darrell) Rayborn; grandchildren, Adam (Leslie) and Lauren Rayborn; and great-grandchildren, Daven and Emilia Rayborn.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Cremation was chosen in regards to Nona's wishes.
