Nina (Casey) Bentley

Nina (Casey) Bentley, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Louisville. She was born on January 24, 1931, in Southville, Kentucky.

Nina lived a life centered on faith, family, music, and simple joys. She was a charter member of Heavenly Heights, now known as Hikes Point Christian Church, and she served as a pianist at both churches. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was actively involved with the seniors at her church, where they enjoyed monthly trips together. She loved music and shared that gift with others throughout her life.

Nina was a homemaker who raised two wonderful children. She also enjoyed demonstrating at Kroger because it gave her the chance to be around people, something she truly enjoyed. She found happiness in caring for her yard, pulling weeds, and planting flowers, and she took pleasure in the beauty and peace those things brought.

She is survived by her son, Michael Bentley; her daughter, Vicky Parrott; her granddaughters, Katrina Parrott Brill and her husband, Michael, and Heather Parrott and her fiance, Rob Hendrickson; and her great-grandson, Chase R. Kaelin. She will be remembered with love by her family and by all who knew her gentle spirit, warm presence, and strong faith.

Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Bentley Jr.; her son-in-law, Rick Parrott; and her siblings, Ruben, Thurman, Gertrude, Sally, Mary, and Dorothy.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, on Wednesday, October 7, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with her funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, KY.
