Nicole Lea Purcell

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Nicole Lea Purcell, 38, of Louisville, KY. Nicole left this life to be with the Lord on Monday, October 26, 2026. Her life touched many with her humorous spirit, carefree attitude, and loyalty to her loved ones. She always had a big hug for anyone that she loved and brought joy into every room she entered. Her personality was larger than life-just like her father's.

Nikki was born on July 16, 1988, in Louisville, Kentucky to proud parents Anna Purcell and Terry Courtney Sr. She had a great love for life and uplifted all those around her. Her laugh was infectious and moved everyone who knew her. More than anything, she loved her amazing son, Torrien Lee Stevens. Torrien held the key to her heart. Her profound love for him will live on, and he will forever carry his mother's legacy. She was known for making funny jokes and enjoyed makeup, jewelry, clowns, collecting stamps, and cherished her family. She attended Fern Creek High School and continuously inspired others with her resilience, humor, and grit.

Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Terry Courtney Sr.; her grandparents, Rebecca Cornett (Nanny) Anna Dickerson (Mimi), William Courtney Sr., and John Purcell and her close cousin, Sheena Courtney. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Anna Purcell; her beloved son, Torrien Stevens; her brother, Terry Courtney Jr.; sisters, Danielle Brown, Teanna Courtney, and Rochelle Peterson; her three nieces and nephew, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Her unexpected passing has left her family and many friends with immeasurable emptiness in their hearts.

She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

A Memorial service will take place Sunday, November 22, 2026 at 3’o clock in the afternoon at Exodus Family Ministries 2020 Garrs Lane Louisville, Kentucky 40216.
