Nicole (Nikki) Dianne Frederick Legg passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky at age 40. She was born October 2, 1980 in Clarksburg, WV. She was raised in Weston, WV and graduated from Lewis County High School in 1999. After graduating Magna Cumme Laude with a degree in History from Marshall University in 2003, she earned her Master's Degree in Special Education from Marshall University in 2006. On July 1, 2006, Nikki married Lewis W. Legg in Weston, WV, and the couple relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, where she worked for Jefferson County Schools for 15 years. At the time of her death, she taught 7th grade ECE and served as ECE Department Chair at Ramsey Middle School where she was beloved by her students and colleagues. She was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Nikki was a great mother, wife, daughter and sister, and enthusiastic cake decorator.

Nikki is survived by her loving husband, Lewis; two amazing daughters, Mara Jane (age 13) and Jaina Marie (age 9); her parents, John and Janet Frederick; brother, Jeff Rinehart (Alissa); sisters, Amy Frederick, Laura Frederick and Heather Frederick; six nieces and nephews; aunts, Marcia Peterson and Carol Wood; and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Nikki's life with be held at 2pm Sunday, October 3, 2021 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 5903 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40291.
