Born on August 20, 1995, Nickalus was known for his independent nature and his ability to tackle a variety of tasks through an array of odd jobs, showcasing his handy skills and resourcefulness.
Nickalus attended Silver Creek High School, where he developed a passion for music and cultivated his interests in collecting swords, knives, and guns. His free-spirited personality and zest for life touched the hearts of many, and he will be remembered for both his artistic flair and his unwavering independence.
He is survived by his father, Monte Troy (Roberta) Hurlburt; his mother, Sheila (Andrew) Hayes; his brothers, Troy (Caylee) Horton-Hurlburt and Krystian Horton-Hurlburt; his sister, Hannah Hayes; his grandparents, Robert (Carol) Horton; and his grandfather, Raymonte Hurlburt. Nickalus also leaves behind his uncle, Michael Baker, and aunt, Christine (Chris) Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherry and Thomas Elmore, and his aunt, Tiara Carpenter..
Nickalus will be missed deeply by his family and friends, who knew him as a creative soul with a love for life. His legacy of independence and passion for music and collecting will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
