Neomie (Raymer) Mikesell, 85, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. She was an avid quilter and Baptist by faith.
She was born on January 1, 1930 in Grayson County, Kentucky to the late Ollie Davis and Thelma (Clark) Raymer. She married the late William D. Stepp in 1946. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Stepp; and brothers, J.D., Edward, and Otis Raymer; and sister, Jane Bolton.
Neomie is survived by her children, William Stepp (Donna), Sue Meacham (Jack), Robert Stepp (Kathy), Michael Stepp (Rita), Irene Lollar (Rick); brothers, Delbert Willis (Mary), Donnie Willis; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
The family requests that contributions in Neomie's memory may be made to the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center (315 E. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202).
