Nellie A. Schmidt, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. She was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky on June 1, 1933 to the late William Guy and Mary Gilpin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Karl Schmidt, and her first husband, Henry M. Newton, Sr.
Nellie is survived by her beloved children, Violet (James) Hamilton, Bettie (Richard) Engler, Patty O''Connell, Brenda (Cesar) Roque, Linda (Marc) Esparza, Henry M. (Carolyn) Newton, Jr.; brothers, Cecil Gilpin and Roy Thomas Gilpin; sisters, Francis Bradley and Suzie Roberts; many grandchildren, and many many great- grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her fur babies, Lucky, Bella, and Baby; and a host of other family members and friends who will mourn her passing.
A celebration of Nellie's life will be from12 pm - 2 pm Friday, September 22, 2017
