Mrs. Nellie Pearl "Nell" Lewis, age 90 of Louisville,formerly of Wheelwright, KY, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. Nell was born March 13, 1925 in Wayland, Kentucky to the late Willard and Gracie Branham (Martin). She was one of 14 children. Nell was a production worker at American Standard. She was also a homemaker and loved to cook. Preceding her in death her husband Albert Lee Lewis; four sisters Ellen Powell, Naomi Branham, Ethel Northington, Ruth Hunt, and Lois King; six brothers Joe, Gordon, Morton, Charles, Elvin, James and Lloyd (Branham).

She leaves to cherish her memories; two sons Al "Mud" Lewis (Lesia) of Louisville KY, Ricky Lewis (Dee) of Charleston WV; two Daughters, Liz Parker (Alvin) of Atlanta Ga, and Sharon Barnes (CJ) of Chicago Il; one brother Phinis Branham (Jackie) of Smithfield NC; six grandchildren John, Brian, Allison, Nana, Cassandra, April, & Dineta (who preceded her in death); six great grandchildren, Zada, Kendall, Kiara, Kameron, Quadir, and Aubrianna. Also all the children of Wheelwright, KY., that called her Granny Nell and cherished friends Nanny Yates and Blanche Hood.

Funeral ceremony will be 11am on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, with visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 10am-11am.
