Nathen "Scott" Wilkinson, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 68. He was born on August 19, 1958, in Belvidere, Illinois.
Scott worked for the City of New Albany Waste Water Treatment as an Asset Manager for 22 years. He was a mechanic for many years and was truly a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, working on cars, and music. Whatever he was doing, he brought skill, energy, and a love for staying busy with his hands.
Above all else, Scott was proud of his family. Spending time with them, especially his grandchildren, was the joy of his life. His love for those closest to him was at the heart of who he was, and the memories made together will be treasured always.
Scott is survived by his wife, Nadine; his children, Adam and Sarah Dines, Natealle and Ben Medina, Christopher and Bethany Wilkinson, and Kate and Darrell Holliday; his father, Edward Wilkinson; his brother, Tracy (Lisa) Wilkinson; his sister, Michelle (Rob) Reynolds; and his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Oldebeken. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one great-grandchild on the way, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him with love.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jennifer McClenthen; his bonus mom, Suellen Wilkinson; and his brother, Allen Wilkinson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, Indiana 47150. An additional visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Abundant Life Cemetery, 3600 Kamer Miller Road, New Albany.
Scott will be remembered for the love he gave his family, the work he did so faithfully, and the many interests that brought him joy throughout his life. His memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.
The family requests that contributions in Scott’s memory be made out to "Deam Lake State Recreation Area".
