Nancy Ellen Stumpf, age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2021. Nancy was born on February 13, 1933 in Chicago Illinois. She had a master's degree in education and was a teacher in the Jefferson County School System where she retired in 1992. Nancy had a passion for gardening as well as early American history. She volunteered her time at Locus Grove and was a lifelong supporter of Colonial Williamsburg. She spent many of her last days traveling the globe with her "sweetie" and always brought home stories to share. She leaves behind many friends that will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by husband, Theodore J. Stumpf; her parents, Harold A. Wahlstrand and Estelle Williams Wahlstrand; as well as her sister, Carol L. Walstrand Sisson.
