Nancy Elaine (Knasel) Stoner

Nancy Elaine (Knasel) Stoner, 71, a loving, caring, and compassionate mother and grandmother, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021. Steadfast, faithful, organized, and patriotic are some of the best words to describe Nancy. She was a member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany.

She was born on October 21, 1950, in New Albany, Indiana, to Lawrence and Catherine (Fulton) Knasel. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth "Ray" Stoner, Sr.; and siblings, Lawrence "Sonny" Knasel and Mary "Sissy" Schulz.

Nancy is survived by her children, Catherine Stoner, Kenneth Stoner, Jr. (Valerie), and Joseph Stoner (Eve); nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Church Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
