Nancy Prather, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on December 27, 2017. She was born in Bardstown, Kentucky on March 2, 1933 to the late Carl and Dorothy Underwood.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by children, Chris Newton, John Newton, Judy Newton and Timmy Newton; and several brothers and sisters.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Ronald Prather; a son, Paul Newton; nephew, Phillip "Sledge" (Debbie) Bailey; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Noon at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 on Tuesday at the funeral home.
