Nancy Sue (Schmidt) Kippes

Nancy Sue (Schmidt) Kippes, born February 15, 1948, went to be with her Lord and Savior, September 16, 2026.

Nancy was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and stepmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Schmidt and mother, Mary Sue (Forbes) Schmidt. She was a member of Northside Christian Church and the Gupton Bible Study. Nancy loved the Lord!

Nancy’s memory will live on through her beloved husband and soul mate Richard, her daughters, Tiffany (Frank), Amanda (John), and Leslie (Shawn); her stepsons, Scott (Alexis) and Brian (Christi); her nine grandchildren; her brother, Vince (Carrie); along with many extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know her.

Nancy was a retired hairdresser who spent her time in her many flower gardens, working crossword puzzles by the pool, reading and up until her illness, hosted wonderful holiday parties.

Nancy died due to complications of Scleroderma and wanted to bring attention to this illusive autoimmune disease.

Her wish was to be cremated. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a celebration of Nancy's life taking place at 4:00 p.m.
