Nancy Lynn (Shaffer) Hernandez, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday evening, June 29, 2018.
She was born on March 28, 1948 in New Albany to the late Jessie Sylvia (Jacobs) Shaffer. Nancy was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kelly Kennedy, and sister, Doris Fackler.
Nancy is survived by her significant other and best friend, Donnie Bauman; daughter, Laura Arthur; sisters, Shirley Fertig (Morton), Frances Banet (Frankie); brother-in-law, Jack Fackler; and 4 grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen following Nancy's wishes and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care.
Contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association (161 St. Matthews Avenue, Suite 3, Louisville, KY 40207).
