Myong C. Lacey

Myong C. Lacey (Mama Lacey) passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 81. Myong came to America with her family in 1978 and lived in Louisville, Kentucky the remainder of her life. In that time she raised two children and made many friends as well. Myong dearly loved spending time with her family. She loved cooking and preparing food, especially for family and friends who would come over to her house. She also had a passion for gardening and landscaping. Anyone who came over to her house would mention how beautiful her landscaping was immediately. She loved spending time outdoors whenever possible and taking care of her cat, Eva also. She will be greatly missed by many. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Charles R. Lacey.

Myong was born on April 17, 1940 in South Korea. She is survived by her daughter, Mimi Park (Paul) and son, Mike Lacey (Sara). She also loved her three grandchildren, Justin, Sheena and Olivia more than anything.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243 from 3pm to 8pm.
