Murty" Jane" (Lawson) Stroud, 75, was called home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Georgetown, Indiana.
Jane was born on February 14, 1940 in Milltown, Indiana to Waymon and Eula (Osborne) Lawson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jane loved life, her family, and the Lord. She will be forever missed in our hearts.
Along with her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Joann Patton. Jane leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 58 years, Charles William Stroud; daughter, Bridgette McCullum (Tom); sons; Chuck (Kelley), Jeff, Richard (Melissa) Stroud; 11 grandchildren; Amy, Elisha, Sarah, Jeremy, R.W., Shelby, Alysha, Stephanie, Samantha, Hank, and Bryce; 16 great grandchildren, and 4 sisters; Elaine, Rita, Mary, and Diana.
A celebration of life will be from 1 PM to 8PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her service will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 11AM with visitation before from 9-11AM at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society(701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. Louisville,KY 40203).
