Murray Clyde Swindler ll, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024.
Murray was a loving husband, father, brother, papaw and friend. He was a member of Vision Valley Baptist Church. Murray served 5 years in the U.S. Navy as an electrician and served on the U.S.S Randolph. Murray served on the National Board for National Electrical Contractors Association for many years. He joined the I.B.E.W. Local 369 in 1966 and was a member until his passing. During his free time he enjoyed fishing, spending time on the ocean, golfing and going to the gun range. Murray will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was born on September 7, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Murray and Madge (Johnson) Swindler. Along with his parents he is proceeded in death by his wife, Utha Swindler; grandsons, Matthew Braden, and Johnathon Terry.
Murray is survived by his loving daughters, Dawn (Daniel) Braden, Laura Terry; sister, Lynn Fuller; brother, Jim (Janet) Swindler; granddaughter, Heather (Ben) West; and grandson, Timothy (Samantha) Braden.
Visitation will be Monday, August 12, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel. His Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
