Morgan Robert Broadhead, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on August 2, 2015.
Morgan was born on November 30, 1939 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Morgan and Jennie (Wotton) Broadhead.
Morgan completed his undergraduate work at the University of Connecticut and he was an avid Huskies fan. He finished his graduate work at Princeton University. Morgan taught history at Vassar College, Southern Methodist University, University of Texas, University of Louisville, and would have started his fiftieth year of teaching at Jefferson Community and Technical College this fall. One of the greatest joys in his teaching career was, along with his wife Ann, taking students on a cross-cultural course to Barbados seven times.
Morgan is survived by his wife, Ann (Baesel) Broadhead; sons: Matthew Broadhead (Suzanne), Jeremy Broadhead (Kristin), Alex Broadhead (Catherine); step-daughter Amy Glotzbach (Bradley), step-son Michael Clingaman (Elizabeth); seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no funeral or visitation.
The family requests that donations be made to the Louisville Ronald McDonald House (550 S. 1ST St., 40202) where Morgan and Ann met.
