Morgan LaVaughn Leonard entered the world on December 17, 1972, and after a short illness, he transitioned on May 23, 2018. Morgan was given his mother's maiden name at birth. He attended elementary and middle school in Clarksville, IN, but he graduated from Southern High School in Louisville where he played on the Football Team. Morgan attended Jefferson Community College, Rets Institute of Technology and The Barber Academy.
Morgan loved his children, and he was a great father and a very likable guy who had a host of friends. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan.
Left to cherish his memory is mother, Mary Morgan Leonard; daughters, DJ Pressley of Lexington, KY and Amiyah Leonard; son, Raiden Leonard; sisters, Tomika Leonard, Dawna Jenkins-Turner (Maurice) of Tampa, FL and Angela Young; brothers, Bobby Carroll "Geechie" Jones (Gabrielle) of Elizabethtown, KY and Jeffrey Young; special nephew and great niece, Garry Toogood and Raven Toogood; aunts, Minister Johnnie Leonard of Frankfort, KY, Ruby Bean (Freddie) of South Ozone Park, NY, and Julia Morgan; uncles, Solomon Morgan, Jr. and Sammy Morgan (Leah Renee); a host of relatives and many, many friends.
The Leonard and Morgan Families appreciate all acts of kindness shown during Morgan's brief illness and eventual transition.
Morgan was an organ donor, and cremation was chosen by the family. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Green Street Baptist Church, 519 East Gray Street, Louisville; Visitation, 1:00 to 3:00 followed by the Memorial Service.
