Monquel Le'Deris "Quel" Ligon, 22, was called home unexpectedly on December 26, 2016, passed away at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born on June 26, 1994, in Louisville, KY to Taffee Ligon. He attended Valley HIgh School and played Freshman football. He worked in manufacturing.
Monquel is survived by his mother, Taffee Ligon Hansberry (Alonzo); sons, Calden Britton, Avery Ligon and Kiyan Weaver; brothers, Kyron Ligon, Kurell Ligon, Mondrell Ligon, Teawonn Ligon and David Huff, Jr.; sister, Hailey Ligon; maternal grandparents, Debra Ligon and Jeffrey Edmonson of LaGrange, GA. Rhonda Vincent (Jack);Great grandmother, Christine Harris (James). Uncles, Jeffrey Ligon, Phillip Ligon, Patrick Harrison, Jordan Ligon, Matthew Ligon, Kenneth Bell, Adam, Dominique and Jack Vincent. Aunts, Samantha Harrison, TaShiba Dunson, Johonna Huzzie, Jakiya Edmonson, Lanita Bell, Several Great Aunts, Great great Aunts and Great Uncles and many neices, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2017, from 3pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY). A celebration of life for Monquel will be Tuesday, January 3, 2017, beginning at 11am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel with Reverand Eric Irvine officiating.
Monquel will also be having services at Lakes, Dunson & Robertson Funeral Home (201 Hamilton Road, LaGrange, GA). Visitation will be Friday 6, 2017, from 1pm-8pm with funeral services on Saturday, January 7, 2017, beginning at 1pm at Lakes, Dunson & Robertson Funeral Home (201 Hamilton Road, LaGrange, GA) with Reverand Travis Bladingburg officiating.
Burial will be at Meadoway Gardens (3293 Hamilton Rd, LaGrange, GA 30241).
