Monica Dione Pressley was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 5, 1956, and was the fourth of nine children born to Helen Tyler. Monica was preceded in death by her brother, Keevan, her sister, Fracita and her beloved grandmother, Dorothy Rates.

Monica, known to her family as "Monnie" was educated at Louisville Male High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Morehead State University. While attending the University she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. After graduation, Monnie entered the workforce at at the Salvation Army and then moved on to have a 30 plus year career with Seven Counties of Louisville. Within Jadac and the Renaissance Recover House where she assisted women transitioning from drug court to active working members of our society. Monnie worked this position until she retired.

Monnie was determined to raise her son to be God fearing man and keep him close to her heart. Under the tutelage of Pastor Eddie White, she was a beloved member and Minister of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt to her family and a great friend to all that knew her.

Monica leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Helen Tyler; one son, Joshua Williams; siblings, Felicia Numan (George Moorman); Donressley; Derek Pressley; Toneya Pressley0Taylor; Cedric (Johnetta) Pressley; Joe (Jessica) Pressley and a host of nieces, nephews, and her beloved church family and friends. Her family will forever hold dear those blue boar chess pies.
