Mona Lisa Torres, 60, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019. Mona loved Pop Culture, Bingo, classic rock music, her bird Ozzy, watching classic shows on TV, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was born on July 25, 1959, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Claude and Mary (Cox) Cunningham. Along with her parents, Mona is preceded in death by her siblings, Claude "Sonny" Cunningham, Wilma Gresham, Diana Blake, and James "Jimbo" Cunningham.
Mona is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Rogelio Torres; children, Maria (Scott) Torres-Hagan, Susan (Edwin) Castro, Cory Cunningham, Diana (Paul) Finch, and Tracy (Wesley Barrett) Torres; 15 grandchildren; siblings, Edward Cunningham, Michael (Becky) Cunningham, and Donald (Carrie) Cunningham; aunt, Margaret Branson; uncle, William (Delores) Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in Mona's memory be made to Kosair Charities.
