Mona "Jean" (Sandefur) Ford

Mona "Jean" (Sandefur) Ford, 87, of Floyds Knobs, IN, passed away May 15, 2017, Jean was born in Whiting, Indiana on April 17, 1930 to the late Louis and Loney Sandefur. Jean was very devoted to her faith and family as a homemaker . She was a member of the Dover Chapel Baptist Church in Louisville, KY for many years where she was a member of the Missionary Ladies Club and the church choir.
Along with her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her Son, Robert "Bobby" Lee Ford; brothers, Robert Lee and Billy Sandefur; and grandson, Sean Thomas Ford.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harry Grant Ford; son, Gerald "Tom" Thomas Ford (Norma); daughter, Lisa Gail Marcum (Larry); 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Betty Edwards and Jonell Renfrow.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm-8:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane New Albany). Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am on Friday, May 19 2017 with Pastor John Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana. Memorial Contributions may be made in Jean's name to Hosparus-the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana.
