He was born on October 18, 1944 in Hart County, Kentucky to Joseph and Dixie (Anderson) Cahoe. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bobby Cahoe, brother, George Cahoe, sister, Betty Bryant.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Catherine L. Cahoe, daughter, Mary (Dennis Patterson) Cahoe, daughter, Linda (Stevie) McBride, son, Mitchell (Roberta) Cahoe, Jr., daughter, Lisa Cahoe, daughter, Melissa Rodgers, son, Bobby Joe (April) Cahoe, daughter, Susan Cahoe, brother, Cecil (Minnie) Cahoe, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will take place at a later date.
The family requests that contributions in Mitchell's memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
