Minnie Kathleen Murphy

Minnie Kathleen Murphy, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, entered her eternal Home on January 26, 2026, in Louisville, KY, at the age of 79. Kathleen was born on January 13, 1947, in Berwyn, Illinois, to John D. Murphy and Ruby Patton Murphy. She was the younger sister of Dolores Murphy Woosley.

After retiring from the American Saddlebred Association, Kathleen devoted her time to her family, whom she treasured dearly. She found great joy in visiting the Smoky Mountains, a place where she marveled at God’s creation and found peace.

Kathleen's faith in Jesus Christ was her guiding light, offering comfort and hope through every season of life. While her loved ones mourn her absence, they rejoice in knowing she is with her Savior and reunited with those who have gone before her.

Kathleen will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering faith. While lovingly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is truly Home, embraced in God’s everlasting love.

Kathleen's love and kindness were deeply felt by her family and all who had the joy of knowing her.

Kathleen is survived by her sister, Dolores Woosley; her nephew, John Douglas Woosley (Sara); niece, Dr. Diedre Woosley Wade (Troy); her great-nieces, Aimee Woosley Emory and Kyleigh Wade; great-nephews, Kamaren Wade and David Woosley; and her great-great-niece, Penelope Emory. Her legacy of warmth and family devotion endures in each of them.
