Minnie Elizabeth(Phillips) Lewis Beyl

Minnie Elizabeth (Phillips) Lewis Beyl, 83, of New Albany, Indiana passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany and retired from USF&G Insurance Co. after 42 years of service. Minnie was an avid IU basketball fan, enjoyed traveling, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

She was born on November 28, 1932 in New Albany to the late James and Christine (Lang) Phillips. Minnie was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Beyl; and sisters, Thelma Hammond and Mary Higgins.

Minnie is survived by her daughter, Laura Crowley (Chuck); granddaughter, Caitlin Crowley; nieces, Suzi Deem (Patrick), Tina Walts (Stephen), Lisa Koetter (Bruce), and Sheri Higgins.

Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at St. Mary's Navilleton Catholic Church Cemetery.
