Miles Thomas Carmany, 42, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Born on April 12, 1984, in Tucson, Arizona, Miles was the son of Rafael and Elizabeth Carmany. His journey was marked by dedication, service, and a profound faith in Christ that grounded him throughout his life.

Miles built a respected career in information technology, where his talents made the most complex challenges effortlessly manageable. Above all, Miles was a devoted family man. He and his wife, Kimberly Carmany, with whom he shared 18 years of marriage, opened their hearts and home as foster parents to 13 children. Their compassion culminated in the adoption of their beautiful daughter, Evelyn. Miles loved his girls fiercely and embodied the role of father with dedication and tenderness. Miles also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and extended family members who hold his memory dear.

Services for Miles will be held privately, and he will be laid to rest at Charlestown Cemetery. The family entrusted Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in New Albany with the care.
